The teachers and associates of the Department of Regional Geography continued their studies on multiple aspects of certain parts of the Earth&#8217;s surface, regions or smaller spatial entities separated on the basis of homogeneous features. Regional-geographic studies are based on the study of the spatial reality of the Earth&#8217;s surface, i.e. characteristics of the natural environment, socio-economic processes and cultural superstructure, composed of spatially different and temporally changing individual units or geographical areas. Considering the subject and object of regional-geographical studies, within the Department, scientific-research work is realized through teaching subjects:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Geographical regionalization,<br \/>\n\u2022 Regional geography of Bosnia and Herzegovina,<br \/>\n\u2022 Regional geography of Europe,<br \/>\n\u2022 Regional geography of non-European continents,<br \/>\n\u2022 Contemporary problems of regional development in the world,<br \/>\n\u2022 Geography and globalization.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=&#8221;stretch_row&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1625572210119{padding-bottom: 73px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text]With the introduction of the Bologna principle of study and new study orientations at the Department of Geography, the number of teaching subjects, and related scientific research, within the Department of Regional Geography is increasing. At the same time, there is an intensive scientific and professional engagement of teachers and associates to familiarize them with all modern theoretical methods of regional geographical studies and knowledge and their practical application.<\/p>\n<p>The special contribution of the involvement of scientific and professional staff within the Department is visible through the implementation of a large number of scientific research projects that had both a theoretical and applied character. Specialized component scientific regional geographical studies have the possibility of their application in various areas of the economy and society of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from the aspect of identification, valorization, and revitalization of our country&#8217;s resources.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Head of the Department of Physical Geography:<\/strong> Dr.sc.
