Welcome to the Department of Geography
The Department of Geography is the oldest higher education geographic educational institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has been intensively developing geographic science and profession for almost seven decades. During this period, over a thousand graduate geographers and dozens of master’s and doctorates in geographic sciences were educated at our Department.

About the Department of Geography
The Department of Geography develops its activities in two directions: educational and scientific-research.
In the field of education, students are educated and trained to perform the work of professors and teachers of geography as well as to work in educational and pedagogical institutions in the field of geography profession and science.
In the field of scientific and research work, generations of teachers and associates have made an immeasurable contribution in the areas of dissemination of natural and social resources and related economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina, spatial and urban planning, regional planning and regional development, demographic development, tourism, environmental protection, GIS and others.
